The ZLP team, including Lucia, Fiona, and Brian, arrived in Harare for the start of comprehensive workshops at Sally Mugabe Psychiatric Hospital, marking another milestone in our ongoing partnership with Zimbabwe's healthcare system.

The first day of workshops focused on sharing learning about the impact of Covid-19 on mental health, a critical topic that has affected healthcare systems worldwide. Our team presented research and practical strategies for addressing the mental health challenges that emerged during the pandemic.

Key topics covered included:

• Integrating mental health care into community and primary care settings
• Best practices for delivering drug and alcohol detox programmes
• Strategies for supporting healthcare workers' mental health
• Building resilient mental health systems

The workshops concluded with a productive meeting at the Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Service (ZPCS) Head Office to discuss opportunities for mental healthcare partnerships within the correctional system.
