We are a group of NHS clinicians who have come together with one aim, to go to Zimbabwe and share our knowledge and skills with mental health professionals there.

The group is led by Lucia Vambe who is the founder and is dedicated to facilitating a link between skilled mental health professionals in the UK and the mental health services in Zimbabwe

ZLP is a non-profit movement founded in January 2018 and as members of the group we offer our skills voluntarily. We are a diverse group - members are Zimbabweans, British and other nationalities working in UK.

What we will do

Together with Zimbabwe’s mental healthcare leaders, ZLP have arranged for mental health workshops for hospital staff to be held in Harare and other areas where possible and will share our knowledge and skills. A wide range of topics focused on improving patient care and sharing good practice will be covered. This is a skills exchange program which will be marked by participatory exchanges of knowledge, skills and experiences.
